Luca Mortari
Photography is the foundation of everything. It tells our story and helps us remember very special people, moments, and places.
Luca Mortari studied Graphic Design and then dedicated three years to studying Architecture and Urban Planning in Brazil. He first encountered professional photography during his university years.
While in college, he created a Student Academic Center for Architecture and chose to serve as the Marketing Director, focusing on the development and relations of the Academic Center.
After moving to Switzerland, he used his weekend travels to work as a freelance photographer for Getty Images, contributing tourism photos.
During one of these trips, he coincidentally found himself in St. Moritz on the same day as the Snow Polo World Cup final. His love for equestrian sports, always influenced by his father, was solidified.
Since then, he has invested in photographic equipment to capture various equestrian sports tournaments, especially polo.
He has had the honor of working for incredible people, clubs, and important tournaments that keep the culture of polo alive, such as the Snow Polo World Cup St. Moritz, Polo Park Zurich, White Turf St. Moritz, and Kitzbühel Pre Medium Goal.
In 2022, he had the pleasure of meeting Adriane Galisteu, one of his most admired TV presenters, in St. Moritz.
The photos taken during this meeting documented her beautiful vacation and were published on the cover and in an article in CARAS Brasil magazine.
In 2024, he had the privilege of accompanying Lidia Gauss, titled Snow Queen by Polo Times magazine for being the second woman in history to win a world polo championship in St. Moritz, with her champion team, MACKAGE.
The photos were published in various important media outlets for polo and in the digital article of VOGUE France.
POLOTM is a project that launched in July 2024 to integrate photography and the Image Bank with new ideas focused on the equestrian world and our daily lives.
Projects are crafted for a youthful, vibrant urban lifestyle with roots in the countryside. The project's urban influence draws inspiration from Barcelona.
